Horse Riding El Chorro is a small friendly horse riding association, set in the stunning mountains of El Chorro, near Alora, Malaga. We offer all our clients individual personalized treks to suit your expectations and level of riding experience.

2hr Treks

The shortest rides we go out on take 2 hours around the forest tracks, this is the minimum riding time..

Short Treks

You decide how long you want to ride for, anything from 2 to 5 hrs, taking in incredible views..

Full Day Trek

Full day treks are 6 hours with a picnic. We have a selection of full day routes to choose from..

Special Treks

Extreme Terrain Trail (exp. riders), Full Moon treks, Christmas or New Year’s Day specials.

At Horse Riding El Chorro, your personal guide will accompany you on horse treks through and around the stunning woodlands and mountain scenery surrounding El Chorro.

Horse Riding El Chorro offer a personal guided service, you will not be mixed with strangers, ensuring that your horse ride is tailored to your experience level, also giving us the chance to chat and share some information about the local area whilst we are on horseback. We also take plenty of photos and videos on every ride and send them all on to you later at no extra charge.

You can choose the length of your ride, between 2 and 6 hours. All the horse rides follow off-road routes, through pine forests, mountains, olive groves and open countryside; with incredible views across to Alora, Malaga and the coast, the nearby lakes and sheer rock faces alongside. Including refreshments after the ride.

Do I need extra insurance?

Insurance Included All Clients are automatically covered under our Public Liability Insurance Policy.
How long are your treks?

Our horse riding treks start from 2 hours up to 6 hours, you decide how long you want to ride for!
How much are your treks?

80 euros per person for 2 hour horse riding
35 Euros per hour per person for our short rides (3-6 hrs).
Special Treks 40 euros per hour per person
210 euros for full day treks

What clothing should I wear?

Horse Riding El Chorro supply riding hats for your security. You should wear long trousers and boots or sports shoes. In winter we recommend a light jacket while in summer light cool clothes and don't forget to use sun screen.
Can children ride your horses?

We take kids as young as 6 on our horses, perfect for family holiday activities or horse riding birthday parties with up 9 children riding together. All our horses are very well trained, gentle and very used to riding with children on board.
What are your opening hours?

Horse Riding El Chorro are open 365 days a year. Times of rides vary depending on the route, the first ride of the day starts at 10am.
